  • 1973/ DHL set up the Taiwan branch to take care of the commercial documents express service.
  • 1976/ DHL began to handle the worldwide parcel express service.
  • 1984. 06/ DHL Taiwan implemented the computerization of business operations in coordination with the worldwide DHL computer network.
  • 1990.03/ DHL contracted and cooperated with the top nationwide convenience chain store, 7-Eleven, to provide E-Dox drop-off services for customers. 7-Eleven owns over 2,000 stores in Taiwan and was the first convenience chain store to provide cooperation to let DHL be more accessible and convenient for customers than the competitors.
  • 1993/ DHL set up her own service stations (Business Unit) in Taipei whose functions include sales, operations, collection, packing and documentation in order to be closer to customers. There are 23 business units and service stations in total, including several suburban ones far away from Taipei.
  • 1994/ DHL launched Easy Trace, providing a 24 hours voice shipment tracing service. DHL is the first express service company to provide such advanced and convenient information technology for shipment tracing. In July, DHL launched DHL Express Freight (DEF) service.
  • 1995/ DHL extended the 24-hour function of Easy Trace to Easy Fax that lets customers have the delivery details by their assigned fax number. In October, DHL Taiwan Corp. received ISO 9002 quality certification by Lloyd's Registration, accredited through NACCB (ISO Organization). DHL is the first express company in Taiwan to receive ISO 9002 quality certification.
  • 1997/ In March, DHL launched Jumbo Junior Box (parcel under 10 kgs) in 7-Eleven outlets for international parcel service. This is the only convenience chain store to provide international parcel service company-wide. At the same time, DHL launched Jumbo Box (parcel under 25 kgs) service.
  • 1999.08/ DHL announced Taiwan USD 3,3 million investment plan. It will establish 8 new service centers from 1999 to 2001 in island-wide. New service center will provide automatically facilities and using the drive-in concept. Each size is over 4000 sqm.
