DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, will deliver well-wishes and blessings from the Taiwan fans to the Chinese Taipei Baseball team playing in the World Baseball Classic game in Tokyo, Japan. With its exclusive Time Definite Delivery (TDD) service, DHL is able to deliver flags with signatures and blessings from fans to the players in Tokyo the next day.

DHL and the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) today gathered thousands of baseball fans at the plaza in front of Taipei County Government for the inaugural “World Baseball Classic” which is being broadcasted live by the Taipei County Government. Taipei County

Deputy Magistrate Lee Houng-yuen led off the signing, and the fans took turns to sign and write their blessings to the team on the gigantic DHL and CTBA Flag, measuring 1.5 by 2.4 meters.
Deputy Magistrate Lee and CTBA Executive Secretary Huang Min then packed the flag into a DHL Jumbo Box and passed it on to a DHL courier, who delivered the special package to DHL’s Service Center to ship via the afternoon flight to Japan. The shipment of blessings is expected to be delivered to the Taiwan players the next day.

DHL has been partners with the CTBA since 2004, sponsoring the Chinese Taipei Baseball team to the 2004 Athens Olympics and the World Cup last year. DHL has also formed an exclusive crew for the baseball team in charge of planning the required express services, and ensuring all the baseball equipment are delivered safely and on time.
