DHL expands express delivery service to major Yilan villages and towns
DHL provides the most service locations and latest cut-off times in the industry
DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, has affirmed its commitment to Taiwan by expanding its express delivery service to five villages and towns in the Yilan area. Following the opening of the Hsuehshan Tunnel, the expanded service boasts the industry's latest cut-off times, as well the most service locations.
The opening of the Hsuehshan Tunnel has greatly shortened the distance between Yilan and Taipei. DHL has an optimistic outlook on the long-term economic development of the Yilan area, and its outreach to eastern Taiwan is further testament to DHL's confidence in the Taiwan market.
Connie Tang, General Manager DHL Express Taiwan said “The opening of Hsuehshan Tunnel not only connects Taipei with the Yilan area, it also enables DHL to help its customers to connect with their trading partners around the world within the shortest timeframe. By choosing DHL's unrivalled service, our customers in Yilan are able to accelerate their time to market.”
DHL's expanded service area covers the major towns and industrial area in Yilan County: Suao, Luodong, Yilan City, Jiaosi Township, and Wujie Township and Lung Te & Letzer Industrial Parks. In addition, DHL offers the latest cut-off times in the industry. Letzer Industrial Park has latest cut off time by 3 p.m. At 2 p.m. each day, a DHL delivery truck picks up shipments in Yilan City, Jiaosi Township, Wujie Township and Lung Te Industrial Park for same-day outbound flights. The daily cut-off times for Suao and Luodong are 1 p.m.
To further enhance convenience to customers, all shipments dropped off by 12 noon at 7-11 convenient stores in the service area will be transported to Chiang Kai-shek International Airport for export on the same day.
