DHL extends pick-up time in Central and Southern Taiwan

Provides latest cut-off time in express industry

DHL, the world's leading express and logistics company, announced that it has extended the pick-up time for outbound shipments in the Tainan, Taichung and Kaohsiung areas, in order to facilitate rapidly growing trade between the science parks of Southern and Central Taiwan and the rest of the world.

The cut-off time for pick-up and same-day outbound shipment has been extended as follows: from 18:30 hours to 19:00 hours for the Taichung Industrial Park; from 17:30 hours to 18:00 hours for the Taichung Export Processing Zone; from 10:30 hours to 15:00 hours for the Hunei and Luchu Townships of Kaohsiung County; and from 10:30 hours to 15:30 hours for the Kaohsiung Science Park of the Southern Taiwan Science Park. Meanwhile, the cut-off time for pick-up service has been extended to 17:00 hours and 17:30 hours for the Tainan Industrial Park and Jende Township of Tainan County, respectively.

The extended cut-off time will give Taiwan customers more time to prepare their shipments for export, enhancing their productivity and efficiency, making them even more competitive in the international marketplace.

According to the Taichung City government, Central Taiwan is expected to contribute NT$200 billion in production value to Taiwan's economy in the next two years due to growth in the Central Taiwan Science Park, Universal Microelectronics Industrial Park, Taichung Industrial Park, Precision Machinery R&D Park, Taichung Export Processing Zone, and Wenshan Industrial Park. To meet the growing needs of Taichung's industrial parks for outbound shipments, DHL has extended the pick-up time for the Taichung Industrial Park and Taichung Export Processing Zone to help businesses in Central Taiwan compete on the global stage.

In addition, the service zone of DHL's Tainan Service Center includes the major storage and industrial parks of Taiwan, such as the Tainan Science Park and Luchu Science Park. In order to provide DHL's customers in the Greater Tainan region more flexibility, DHL has extended the cut-off time at its Tainan Service Center, thereby giving its customers an even greater competitive advantage.

Although cut-off time for pick-up has been extended in Tainan and Taichung, the timing for delivery on same-day outbound flights has not been affected. Through the extended service, DHL facilitates its customers in speeding up their time-to-market by delivering their shipments in the shortest possible time.
